''VERNON, B.C. — A Vernon man remains missing for a third day, with RCMP now issuing an official plea for tips on his whereabouts.

Thirty-eight-year-old Jay Rosenberger was last seen Friday night (Jan. 24) at the Village Green Hotel where his family says he works as a manager.

His family says he never returned to work the next day, his car is missing, his phone is dead, and police have been notified.

“Police are very concerned for Jay’s health and well-being and friends and family report that it is out of character for him to be out of contact for this long,” said RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy.''

''Rosenberger, aged 38, was last seen on Friday, Jan. 24 at 11:00 p.m. at the Riviera Village Green Hotel complex, where he works as the manager.

He was supposed to return to work that night, and also had plans to spend time with friends on Saturday but never showed.

His sister Holly Frances wrote in a Facebook post that Rosenberger's phone is dead, and his charger was found in his home.

His car is also missing, and because it was recently purchased, family members don't know the license plate number. His car is a silver sedan, seemingly an early 2000's Mazda.

"I can’t believe I’m writing this post, it feels like we are in a nightmare we can’t wake up from," wrote Frances.

"This is completely out of character for him."

Some of Rosenberger's family are arriving from Edmonton to continue the search.

A Facebook group has been started up to share information, and assist family and friends in the search for Rosenberger. People are also invited to contact Frances with information.

''She reported his cellphone is dead and he is without a phone charger. She said his vehicle is also missing as well.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP describe Rosenberger as a Caucasian man standing 5-foot-10 and weighing in around 180 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes.

He may be operating a light grey 2002 Mazda 626 vehicle with a BC licence plate: JV276F.
