A missing 57-year-old woman is new to Coquitlam and might be unfamiliar with the region.

Jodine Millar is considered to be a "high-risk" missing person, according to Coquitlam RCMP who are now turning to the public to help find her.

She was last seen leaving her home around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 26) near the intersection of Rochester Avenue and Decaire Street.

In a statement, spokesperson Cpl. Alexa Hodgins said Millar's family is becoming increasingly concerned for her health and well-being as she recently moved to the Tri-Cities from out of province.

Hodgins added Millar might be travelling in a brown 2011 Hyundai Tucson with a Manitoba licence plate — FXU195.

She's described as:
  • White
  • 5'7"
  • Slim build
  • Light-Brown or dirty-blonde shoulder-length hair
  • Green eyes
  • Last seen wearing...
    • Glasses
    • Black parka jacket
    • Black ski pants
    • Grey hiking shoes
Millar is also known to frequent local trails with her dog, but she left them at home with family before leaving her residence.

Anyone with more information on Millar or her whereabouts is encouraged to call Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file-number 2022-31412, anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or go online to www.solvecrime.ca.

Jodine is still missing. :(

SBM
"It seems like I'm discussing a horrible movie and not real life. My mom is missing," S. said. "We were very close, closer than she was with anyone else anyways. I am extremely concerned for her well being and mental state."

Does anyone know how to get RCMP in Canada to provide details to family members so hat they can do their own searching etc.? I am at a stone wall with the RCMP. They ay the "NEVER" give out details - even if it is a cold case, because the case is never closed -_-

I think this can be hard, and I don't know the answer to your question. But I have seen people hire private investigators with some success.

This says her car, found in the water filled ditch, was a "roll over"

ETA:

An associated vehicle described as a light-coloured sedan, was observed leaving the area of the collision.

'COQUITLAM, B.C. - A 30-year-old man has been charged with murdering a Coquitlam, B.C., woman who was reported missing last November.
Police say that after an almost yearlong investigation, homicide investigators have determined that 57-year-old Jodine Millar was murdered.
Millar was reported missing on Nov. 28, the same day police found her empty car after a crash on Highway 1.'

''On Friday, police said 30-year-old Carson Mackay, was arrested in Calgary and has been charged with second-degree murder.
Pierotti said Mackay was living in Coquitlam at the time of Millar's disappearance and the two were known to each other. He did not provide specifics about the relationship.

Police are also not releasing details of how Millar died.''

Just to remark, this case was not really a cold case, far away, and it seems there was an investigation ongoing. It is also very complex to build up a case for court, so a lighthearted handling of evidence and information may be very damaging.
Not sure what is your interest here or connection to family , but i assume a good contact between LE and family should be possible, if there is no obvious mishandling of the case seen.
