Found Deceased Canada - Kaden Young, 3, swept away in flood waters, Grand Valley, Ont, 21 Feb 2018 *arrest*

How did the van end up in the water? Were there floods?

Yes. We had rain plus all our snow melting. We still don’t know why mom drove around the road closure signs. [emoji20] she got stuck , tried to reverse and was even more stuck. She grabbed Kaden and she lost him in the raging waters.

I hope this mommy is going to be okay. I am sure she is blaming herself, and that's unfair. Mother Nature is mean sometimes, and we can't always predict a situation. And often, we overestimate our abilities. It's a tragic accident. :(

It was also very foggy that night making it difficult to see some road signs.

We all know that at night water can look very much like a road.

I just can’t even imagine the terror. I almost drowned at Elora Gorge. Daylight, I was aware I was in water and it was one of the scariest situations of my life. I can’t imagine her fear. Her strength trying to hold on to Kaden. My heart truly breaks for her.

Not a new article, but I wanted to share and also put up another picture of this darling little boy.

On Monday (Feb. 26), Dufferin OPP asked members of the public to refrain from using drones in the search. Police say the OPP helicopter searching the area has encountered three private drones.

“This is interfering with a detailed search of the area,” the OPP said in a news release. “OPP advise that only aircraft in the area will be the OPP Helicopter and the OPP Drone. The OPP thank the public for the assistance in this search."

Young, 3, is still missing after he was pulled from his mother's arms and swept into the Grand River near Waldemar early Wednesday morning (Feb. 21). The search is now entering its sixth day.

Bumping for Kaden. My heart hurts so much with this one...

I’m friends with Kaden’s moms cousin. My friend is such a kind hearted person. She welcomed me when I was anxiety ridden at a social event I went to alone.
They all hurt so much. The outpouring of love from strangers is amazing.

The other day a young man fell into the Grand River. He was found today.
There is hope he will be found. Xo

This situation is almost unbearable to think about. Such a tragedy for everyone involved. I hope they find him so they can at least lay him to rest.

My heart breaks for Kaden's parents, family, friends and the whole community. Such a tragedy, so very sad. I hope he is found soon.

“It is daunting but we can’t give up,” Const. Paul Nancekivell told CityNews. “There’s a little kid there and we’ve got to find him; that’s the bottom line.
Nancekivell said their biggest challenge at this point is the ice and changing water levels.

“Every day it’s dropping,” he said. “The temperature change, we’re hoping it loosens things up. It’s a daunting task, it’s 13 kilometres of river. Where is he? We’re trying to find him. We’re trying to narrow down the search as best we can, but it’s difficult.”

VIDEO that shows the huge chunks of ice, debris, excavator. At the 1:45 the road block :( http://toronto.citynews.ca/video/iframe/593482582001/SyxzIeNcgb/5742665241001
