Ridge Meadows RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman from Maple Ridge who has been out of contact since last week.

Karen Gorrie from Maple Ridge was last seen on May 9 but has not been heard from since.

She is described as a 43-year-old white woman who is 180 centimetres (five-feet, eleven-inches) tall with a slender build and long brown hair.


Anyone who has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604-463-6251.

My big question: why did it take a week for Karen's absence to hit the media?? That's a lot of lost time...

There are some interesting comments from the neighbors who last saw Karen, in addition to comments about another woman's death whose body was found in a Maple Ridge park.

i wasn’t able to find a confirmation w/maple ridge rcmp, but it’s been updated on the fb page that she was found june14 at a bus stop in maple ridge with luggage.

That may be the best confirmation we will receive from the Ridge Meadows RCMP that Karen Gorrie has indeed been located, as has been stated in detail on the "Karen Gorrie Missing" FB page (Log into Facebook | Facebook).
