Mr Law, who has been in police custody since his arrest last May, is also the subject of probes by police agencies in other parts of Canada, as well as other countries.
British detectives say they have linked him to 90 deaths in the UK. Mr Law is only facing charges in the Canadian province of Ontario.

I believe this will be a difficult case for the Crown to win (in the Ontario case) as "all he did" was sell a legal substance to someone. I think it will be difficult to prove murder.

I noticed in the UK, it seems that he could be charged there with 'abetting suicide', as per the following older article about the case:

Mr Parfett called for stronger action from police and policymakers to crack down on people selling poison, and for online communities targeting vulnerable people to be regulated.
He continued: "We need to be more sensitive around the risks that people like Tom have in society through their ability to find information online that is unchallenged."

Under the country's criminal code, counselling or aiding a person to die by suicide can result in a 14-year prison sentence.
