A non-verbal six-year-old boy who went missing in Surrey Saturday has still not been located, according to authorities, who are appealing to the public for assistance.

“Khang is non-verbal and may appear confused or disoriented,” police said.

Search and rescue crews were called in to assist police, as was the RCMP’s Urban Rescue helicopter. The search continued overnight
Surrey police searching for missing six-year-old boy
Khang Tran, who has been missing since 8 p.m. on Saturday night, was last seen wearing a blue jacket, grey pants and green shoes.
On Sunday morning, Surrey Police Service spokesperson Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said that Khang Tran was last seen between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Northview Park in Fraser Heights.

Khang Tran is described as having black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, grey pants, and green shoes.

In addition to the significant police resources currently searching for Khang Tran, the South Fraser Search and Rescue Society has been called in to assist. The RCMP’s Urban Patrol Helicopter is also assisting with the search.
