Norway House family searching for missing 27-year-old woman - Thompson Citizen and Nickel Belt News
Klarissa Muswagon, a Norway House Cree Nation member, hasn’t been seen or heard from since leaving her sister’s Winnipeg apartment Oct. 25 to go to an appointment that she never made it to.Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak
''A Norway House family is in Winnipeg Nov. 5 to search for a missing woman with the help of the Bear Clan.
Klarissa Muswagon, 27, was last seen Oct. 25 when she left her sister’s apartment in Osborne Village for an appointment.
“She never made it that meeting and hasn’t been seen or heard from ever since,” her aunt Tracy Muswagon said during a press conference at Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak’s (MKO) Winnipeg office. “It is not normal for her to be away from her sister or not to contact anyone, especially when she had her tablet with her. Klarissa’s social media hasn’t had any activity ever since as well.”
Klarissa has been reported missing to the Winnipeg police and MKO Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Liaison Unit manager Hilda Anderson-Pyrz said the family would be following up to ask when a media release would be sent out.''
''Klarissa Muswagon has long black hair which she usually wears in a high bun and brown eyes, her aunt said. She was wearing a black sweater, green camouflage pants and black Adidas runners when she was last seen.
The family and Bear Clan are searching starting from the Broadway Community Centre starting at 5:45 p.m today.
Anyone who wishes to support the family with financial donations to fund their travel to and stay in Winnipeg can contact Heidi Spence of MKO by phone at 204-397-0485 or by email at [email protected].''
