The son of Lise Fredette is still searching for the mother he lost two years ago, but whose body has never been found.

Saturday marks two years since Fredette, 74, was last seen.

Despite an arrest in her murder, her family hasn't been able to lay their mother and grandmother to rest.

"I have no plans of stopping," said Leclerc.

The Toronto-area resident returns to Peterborough as often as he can, lining up friends to help him search.

They wander through vast rural areas without direction, hoping for the best.

Ten days after her disappearance, her ex-boyfriend Andrew Watson, 78, was charged with first-degree murder and criminal harassment.

He's been in and out of court since then, maintaining his innocence. His pretrial gets underway in Oshawa in January, before his trial begins in Peterborough in March.

'Tell us where you hid mum's body' Family plea to evil Scots pensioner who murdered ex with shovel

Andrew Watson, 79, bludgeoned Lise Fredette to death with a shovel in Canada before putting her body in his car and dumping it.

The mother of two’s remains have never been found and as Watson was sentenced, her family begged her killer to reveal where she is buried.

The 74-year-old victim’s son Stephane said: “What happened, Andy? You promised me you’d never hurt my mom. Be a man and do the right thing by allowing us to give our mother the respect and dignity she deserves.”

Andrew Watson is the "personification of evil."

That's how Justice Hugh O'Connell described Watson after he refused to reveal where he'd buried the body of 74-year-old Lise Fredette.

Watson, who turned 79 Thursday, was convicted of the first-degree murder of Fredette just moments earlier.

"Mr. Watson, the road is now over for you. If you have a heart, sir, I would strongly suggest you speak ... to put closure to this, so this family can lay this very kind, compassionate woman to her proper rest," O'Connell said.

"No thanks," Watson said.
