Members of the RCMP in New Brunswick are seeking public help to locate a missing 72-year-old man from Sunny Corner.

According to police, Lucien Dubois was last seen leaving a residence on Boom Road in his vehicle Friday. He was later reported missing Sunday afternoon.

Police say Dubois expressed his plans to travel back to his home in Quebec via Route 108.

“Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate him, but have so far been unsuccessful,” said RCMP, in a news release.

According to police, Dubois is described as roughly five-foot-five and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He is bald and has hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and short pants.

Dubois’ family have suggested to police that he may have stopped at an Irving gas station on Route 425 in Sunny Corner on Friday between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a grey 2010 Nissan Sentra owned by Dubois, with a Quebec licence plate number G6L 2N5. Anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to call the Sunny Corner RCMP at 506-843-9400.

The Sunny Corner RCMP has obtained new information on the possible whereabouts of Lucien Dubois, 72 years old, who was reported missing from Sunny Corner on August 7, 2022.

Police have obtained video surveillance images confirming that Lucien Dubois was seen at the Irving gas station, in Sunny Corner, at approximately 3 p.m. on August 5.

Police have also spoken to a Pokemouche resident who reported that, on August 5, at approximately 11 p.m., they interacted with an elderly man matching Lucien Dubois' description and driving a Nissan Sentra, at their residence on Highway 11.

Lucien Dubois has a medical condition that may cause him to become disoriented. Police and his family are concerned for his well-being.

Lucien Dubois is described as being approximately five feet five inches (165 centimetres) tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds (68 kilograms). He is baldheaded and has hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and short pants. There is no further clothing description available at this time. Police are releasing to the public the surveillance images captured on August 5 in Sunny Corner, in the hopes that it could help with identifying and locating him.

Lucien Dubois is believed to be driving his vehicle, a grey 2010 Nissan Sentra with a Québec licence plate number G6L 2N5.

Lucien Dubois departed from a residence on Boom Road, in Sunny Corner, on August 5, at approximately 1 p.m., with the expressed intent to travel back to his home in Québec via Route 108. He was reported missing to police on August 7 at approximately 12 p.m.
