Mayhew was last seen in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, on November 30, 1973. He was living with family at a residence and left overnight without notice. Mayhew has never been seen or heard from since. There were no apparent incidents which would have caused him to leave. At the time of Mayhew's disappearance, he was on foot, without a vehicle, and had no known destination. His whereabouts remain unknown.
