(Kingston, Ontario) On Saturday, Jan 13, 2024, the OPP requested public assistance to locate a 38-year-old missing person, last seen on Huron Brant Drive in Tyendinaga on Monday, Jan. 8, 2024.

''Members with the Prince Edward County detachment and the Tyendinaga Police Service are asking for dashcam, doorbell or surveillance video from January 9 between 3:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Police are also hoping to speak to the driver of a dark coloured pickup truck that used an air compressor at a variety store near that intersection that morning around 4:00 a.m.

Search for missing Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory woman ends in tragedy

Police said a 38-year-old woman who went missing on Jan. 9 in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory was found dead on Saturday.

Police said a 38-year-old woman who was last seen on Jan. 9 in a rural community west of Kingston, Ont. was found dead on Saturday.

Provincial police said search and rescue divers found Michelle Kunkel’s body in Shannonville, Ont., under the ice in Salmon River.
