MISSING PERSON: Peel police looking for senior reported missing in Mississauga

PUBLIC SERVICE NOTICE: An 81-year-old woman was last seen on July 23 in the area of Ceremonial Drive near McLaughlin Road.

''Peel Regional Police are looking for a missing senior woman from Mississauga.

According to a news release from police, Nadiia Nikiforova, 81, was last seen walking eastbound on Ceremonial drive toward McLaughlin Road at around 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.

She is described as 5-foot-3 and 145 pounds with short red hair. She was last seen wearing a blue and white striped top, three-quarter length khaki pants and light-coloured flip flops.

Police say she is new to Canada and speaks only Russian and Ukrainian.

Police and her family are concerned for her well-being.

Investigators have set up a command centre in the area and are asking anyone that may have seen her or have video footage of her, to contact them or go to the command centre with that information.
