Very little detail but they have been there longer than 90 days. I'll go see if we have any threads here about people missing from that area...

Few details after skeletal remains found in Nanaimo neighbourhood

...RCMP said there are currently eight active missing persons files in Nanaimo since 2002, and they’ll be looking for any connections to the remains found.

A neighbour who lives upstream from where the remains were found said the area is often visited by transients who set up camps.

Just to tidy up loose ends on this thread....the remains were identified in late July 2016.

He was identified as 40 year old Marlon Orozco-Castillo, who had been reported missing on May 1 2016. There doesn't seem to be a hint of foul play.
