OPP searching for missing 21-year-old

The OPP is currently searching for Nicholas Rivard, 21, who was last seen March 24 in Cobalt.

Rivard is described as being about six feet tall, weighing approximately 170 pounds. He has brown eyes, and medium-length, wavy black hair.

Police and family are concerned for Rivard ‘s well-being and are requesting the public’s assistance to help locate him.

At this time, police have not been able to rule out foul play. The OPP investigation is continuing under the direction of Det. Staff Sgt. Kurtis Fredericks of the Criminal Investigation Branch, along with members of the Temiskaming Shores detachment and North East Regional Headquarters.

Donald Allan Ash, 50, and Donald Kenneth Ash, 28, both of Cobalt, have been charged following an investigation conducted by the Temiskaming OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of Det. Staff Sgt. Kurtis Fredericks, OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Both men have been charged with manslaughter, indignity to a dead body, causing death by criminal negligence and trafficking in a Schedule 1 substance – opioid.

Father and son? Sounds like abad scene... very sad for those who knew and loved Nick.

Yes, Father and Son. I'm hearing a collective sigh in the community ... sadness for what has happened to Nick and a hopefulness in the possibility of justice for many.
