Investigators with the York Regional Police #1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in locating a missing 19-year-old vulnerable man from the Town of Newmarket.


Darnyle EVANS was reported missing on August 25, 2022. His last known location was in the area of Davis Drive and Prospect Street. Mr. Evans has ties to the Toronto, Peel and Halton areas.

His family and police are concerned for his well-being.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact police.

Description: Male, black, 19 years Thin build 6’, 170 lbs. Black short hair Brown eyes Last seen wearing a blue-and-white sweater with MTV logo, dark-coloured pants and yellow socks

Man was reported missing Aug. 25

A 19-year-old man from Newmarket was found in Toronto in good health a month after he was first reported missing.

Darnyle Evans was reported missing Aug. 25 and at that time, was last seen in the area of Davis Drive and Prospect Street.

Evans was found Sept. 16.


Police thanked the media and the public for assisting in locating Evans.
