Toronto Police are looking for a man who allegedly left a package full of syringes and other paraphernalia near Eglinton Junior Public School on Wednesday. They have released a photograph of the suspect in hopes the public can identify him. Photo by SUPPLIED /TORONTO POLICE

''Toronto Police are trying to track down a man after a package filled with syringes and “other paraphernalia” was left by a midtown elementary school.

The incident happened around 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eglinton Junior Public School near Eglinton Ave. and Mount Pleasant Rd.''

''The man left the area riding a dark-coloured bicycle, investigators said.

He is described as 5-foot-9 and 35 to 45 years old, with a medium build. He was wearing a white and blue Blue Jays baseball cap, a white and grey striped long-sleeved sweater under a black down vest, grey pants, and black running shoes.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a Mischief investigation.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at approximately 10 a.m., police attended Eglinton Junior Public School.

It is reported that:

- Community Safety Team members saw a man leave a package by the school

- the package contained several syringes and other paraphernalia

- the man left the area riding a bicycle.

The man is described as 5’9”, 35-45 years of age, with a medium build. He was wearing a white and blue Blue Jays baseball cap, a white and grey striped long-sleeved sweater under a black down vest, grey pants, and black running shoes.

He was last seen riding a dark-coloured bicycle.

An image of the suspect is being released.''

He has been charged with:

1. Mischief Interfere with Property
2. Fail to Comply Probation

He is scheduled to appear in court, on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 10 a.m., College Park Courts, in room 507.''
