Circumstances of Disappearance:
Asprey disappeared from St. John's, Newfoundland, on November 12, 1984. She had left her residence on McGrath Place to go to Martin's Lounge (now Erin's Pub) on Water Street. When Asprey was leaving the bar that evening, she left her wallet with a friend, intending to be back in twenty minutes but she never returned.

She was last seen between 9:00-9:30 pm getting into a dark blue vehicle near the National War Memorial in St. John's. The male driver was described as having a large build and wore a baseball hat. She was reported missing by her roommate two days after she was last seen. There's been no evidence that she's been employed, drawn social assistance, or had a driver's license since she went missing.

Prior to her disappearance, Asprey had a habit of hitchhiking and had known affiliations with the sex industry. She was known to frequent the Duckworth Street area of St. John's, but has never been seen again. Her whereabouts remain unknown.
