''At around 5:15 p.m. Toronto police responded to a report of a domestic incident at an apartment building on High Park Avenue near Glenlake Avenue.

While officers were inside an apartment unit on the 24th floor, they saw a woman on the balcony, according to an SIU news release.

A short time later, the woman fell from the balcony to the ground. She was pronounced dead at the scene.''

Ontario’s police watchdog probing family’s claims that Toronto woman pushed off balcony
''Ontario’s police watchdog says it is aware of the allegations being made online about Toronto police and the circumstances surrounding a 29-year-old woman falling to her death from an apartment building balcony.

Police have not identified the woman, however, neighbours identified her to Global News as Regis Korchinski-Paquet.''

''A memorial has been setup at the apartment building, located at 100 High Park Avenue. A “RIP. Rest In Power” sign along with multiple bouquets of flowers have been placed at the scene.''

A growing memorial has been setup at the site of the incident in the city’s west end.
''Shortly after the incident, videos began to circulate online from people who said they are Korchinski-Paquet’s family, alleging that police pushed her off the balcony.

''In a number of videos posted to social media from user @rocaworld, who says he is Korchinski-Paquet’s cousin, appears to be at the scene of the incident and alleges police “threw my female cousin off the building.”

'My cousin's not jumping,' family questions police involvement in woman's fatal fall

Regis Korchinski-Paquet, 29, is shown in an image from her Facebook page.

''Family, friends and her pastor identified the woman as Regis Korchinski-Paquet, 29.

Her brother Reece, said numerous officers responded to the call and wondered why that was.

“I don’t know the exact number but there was a lot of them,” he said Wednesday night. “To go into the unit after one female, for what?”

“Exactly, my cousin’s not jumping. She’s a Christian woman, she’s not doing suicide, that ain’t what we do, we don’t do that, we ain’t killing ourselves, that’s number one, 100 per cent,” a man who said he was a cousin of Korchinski-Paquet, told reporters Wednesday.''

''Pastor Roy Dawson of Peace Community Church of Jesus Christ told CP24 that Korchinski-Paquet said she would help “at every cookout” with his congregation, often with her mother.

“She always was positive, she loved children, she was thorough and she was always very positive,” Dawson said.''

I'm seeing people recording themselves on Twitter saying she didn't commit suicide but was pushed by an officer.
I watched helicopter footage once of a group of kids on the roof of a very tall building.
There was a girl walking by the edge, and a boy spotted her and flung at her to drag her back, she got scared, lost her balance and fell off.
Maybe something like that is what happened here.

First post says police responded to a domestic incident. What was going on? There must have been someone else there for it to be a domestic incident. Did they see what happened?

''CBC Toronto spoke with numerous family members who had gathered outside the apartment building to mourn in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy.

What happened inside is still unclear, however Korchinski-Paquet's family is adament she pushed from the apartment's balcony.

No family members were inside the unit at the time of Korchinski-Paquet's death and it's unclear if anyone witnessed her fall from the high-rise.

The SIU is asking anyone who saw what happened to contact them.''

Ontario’s police watchdog probing family’s claims that Toronto woman pushed off balcony
''Toronto police officers were called to an apartment building on High Park Avenue north of Bloor Street West at around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday with reports of a “domestic incident.”

''Korchinski-Paquet’s neighbour, Doreen Gayle, told Global News she “can’t wrap her mind” around the situation.” She said the woman and her mom had been over just that morning.

Gayle said Korchinski-Paquet was a “good person” and she suffered a lot of seizures due to having epilepsy.''

If she was just messing about on the balcony and a seizure came on, she might have lost her grip or her balance.
