''TRENTON, Ont. - Search and rescue crews are looking for a small commercial plane with two people on board that went missing Tuesday in a remote area of northern Ontario.

The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Trenton is leading the search for the missing Cessna 208, which left Nakina around 12:45 p.m. and was expected to arrive in Fort Hope approximately 45 minutes later but never did.

JRCC Trenton spokesman Maj. Trevor Reid says military and police planes and helicopters, as well as civilian aircraft, have been deployed along the Cessna’s flight route.''

''Several military and police search and rescue aircraft, including a C-130 Hercules and an Ontario Provincial Police helicopter, were deployed to search along the plane's route.

"This is an area that is treed, it's got lakes in it, snow on the ground, obviously, as well as some hills and some valleys," Reid said.

"So it is posing a challenge, certainly."

Reid added that light snow and cloudy conditions on Tuesday hampered search efforts, but the weather improved on Wednesday.

He said the search, with several aircraft, continues with visual spotters and equipment to detect the Cessna's transmitter.''

Notice that the top of the plane is white -- and right now, all that white is likely to be on top of snow. With fresh snow on top of it all.

Difficult to spot from the air.

Sounds like a nice plane. My Dad is a private pilot, we had planes similar to this but smaller - fewer passengers.

''Search and rescue crews say a plane with two people on board that went missing earlier this week in a remote area of northern Ontario has been found with both occupants dead.

The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Trenton, Ont., said Saturday evening that the search for the Cessna 208, which went missing on Tuesday, had ended as the plane had been found.

They say both people, who have not been identified, were found dead on scene.

The plane went missing between Nakina and Fort Hope and the centre says it was found just south of Chaucer Lake, northeast of Thunder Bay, at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday.''
