Circumstances of Disappearance:
Harper was last seen in Red Sucker Lake in Manitoba, on July 21, 1966. A male acquaintance asked Harper if he could help him lift one of his nets out of the lake. The two went to the site via canoe and at one point they lost their balance and the canoe capsized. They attempted to move closer to the shore by pushing the canoe and at one point, Harper said that he didn't have the strength to hold on any longer. His companion made it to shore but looked back and Harper was nowhere to be found. Efforts to locate Harper were unsuccessful and it is presumed he drowned.
