Canadian actress and nephew centre of police search near Kamloops

Kamloops RCMP are hoping to find actress Roseanne Supernault and her six-year-old nephew Nikaeo.

They have not been heard from since Jan. 13, according to RCMP.

The child was being looked after by his aunt before losing touch with family, police said.

Supernault is best known for her roles as Natalie Stoney in the television series Blackstone, which airs on APTN.

While the pair have not officially been reported missing, RCMP have issued a “request to locate,” “to discuss the situation.”

How intensely worrying this must be for their relatives. I can't even imagine.

The fact that days have gone by with no word from Ms. Supernault nor young Nikaeo is frightening to hear.

My heart is with them and I hope and pray for good news soon that they are alive somewhere.

Vancouver actress and nephew reported missing in B.C.
"Roseanne Supernault, 28, has been watching her nephew Nikaeo Supernault. Police received a report to check on his well-being after Nikaeo’s mother hadn’t heard from him since Jan. 13. Police say she hasn’t been able to establish contact.

Nikaeo is described as 45 lbs, 3’5″ with light brown hair and brown eyes. He is wearing a blue jacket and tan boots with a black bottom. Roseanne was last seen wearing a black jacket with white fur on the hoodie, jeans and black boots with white fur on the top. She also has a white or light grey purse on her."

In a Facebook post shared Wednesday night, Roseanne Supernault says she and her nephew are safe.

"Contrary to the media coverage, I was not 'watching' my nephew, I have in fact been raising him for the last seven months, and I have documentation to substantiate it," Supernault writes in her Facebook post. "It is clear to me that the Kamloops RCMP were being misinformed."

Supernault says she and Nikaeo went into hiding after he confided "seriously distressing allegations."

Thank you so much for sharing the good news that they are alive!

Hoping they will sort out, with counselling, how best to look after this little guy.

He is only 6 years old and needs to be in a safe and healthy environment, wherever that will be determined to be.

In the meantime, I breathed out a sigh of relief when I read your post.
