''It’s not clear where Khattra was going the night she went missing, or what time she expected to be home. Her father, Varinder Khattra, says her disappearance has taken a toll on his family, his three other daughters, and his wife.

He says Simran has a love for wrestling and hopes to become a police officer someday. She’s described as 5’3″, 159 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. The RCMP says she was last seen on 88th Avenue in Surrey.''

''Varinder says concern for Simran’s safety is also elevated because she takes medication for seizures. Sangha says this is why her case was elevated to “high risk” missing person.''

If she went missing on the 27th April, today is the 18th May, so that's 3 weeks already.

It's not sounding good.

I'm wondering if there were family issues or problems at home?

Some Indian parents can apply high standards and pressure to their children both academically, financially and socially.
I also hope she wasn't being pressurised to enter into an arranged marriage.
L
et's hope she's with friends and just seeking some time out.

''Weeks after 19-year-old Simran Khattra disappeared from Surrey, B.C., her family is growing increasingly desperate to locate her.

Simran was last seen boarding a bus near 88 Avenue and 132 Street on the evening of April 27, while wearing a black hoodie and grey sweatpants.

There has been little sign of her since – though her father Varinder Khattra told CTV News someone turned her cellphone in after seeing a missing person poster days later.

"My question is, how can he know this phone is Simran's?" Varinder said. "The phone screen, her picture is not on it."

Sad news :(

The search for a Surrey teenager who was last seen a month ago has ended tragically.

The Surrey RCMP announced on Tuesday that 19-year-old Simran Khattra was found dead.

Police did not share where she was found or how she died, but said her cause of death is not considered suspicious and they do not believe criminality was involved.
