''It has been two months since an 18-year-old woman went missing from the City of Vaughan and York Regional Police is once again appealing to the community for assistance in locating her.

Sol MEJIA-MESA was last seen on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m. at the Vaughan Metro Station located in the area of Highway 7 and Millway Avenue. Her absence and not returning home are out of character for her. Police believe she may be in the City of Toronto.

Investigators have exhausted all investigative leads and her family and police remain concerned for her well-being.

Investigators are urging anyone with information to contact police.

York Regional Police announced April 27 that the body of a woman last seen Feb. 8 was located Toronto.

Sol Mejia-Mesa, 18, was last seen Feb. 8 at about 8 p.m. at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station near Hwy. 7 and Millway Avenue.

YRP issued a missing person notice Feb. 9, and put out another call for assistance in finding Mejia-Mesa April 12.

Toronto Police Service notified YRP that Mejia-Mesa was found dead, according to a YRP news release issued April 27.


Her death is not considered suspicious.
