''(Ottawa) — The Missing Persons Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating missing 58-year-old Susan Schwartz. She was last seen leaving her residence on September 12, in Kanata. There are concerns for her safety and well-being.

Susan is described as a Caucasian female, 5’3” (160 cm), 200 lbs (91 kg), with medium length dark brown hair and green eyes. She may be wearing a gold wedding band. Her clothing description is unknown, however, she regularly wears Birkenstock sandals, shorts and a blue or white shirt (see photos).

She is believed to be operating a 2021 Blue Honda Pilot with black rims bearing Ontario Marker CBAB 062(See photo of similar vehicle). She is believed to be traveling across Ontario and could be in Ottawa, Kingston, North Bay, Niagara or Toronto.

Anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Susan is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222.

I wrongly assumed those were cities on one direct line. Not at all. They are apparently alternate routes.

Ottawa is in the opposite direction from Kanata. Not knowing why she would head east before going west.
I am getting the impression she told friends and family she was taking a trip across Ontario, but didn't tell anyone her route?

Does she have a job? How long was the trip supposed to be for?

She's not exactly going rural by Canadian standards, these towns would be connected by highways.

But if it's almost coming up to one week that's she's been gone with no contact, then that's a bit worrying.

Does she have mental health struggles and need to decompress and take time out?

I wondered too if she was experiencing a crisis. It may be nothing but the article said she may be wearing a wedding ring. Not that it was a certainty. My grandmothers never took off their wedding rings because they could not get them off; they'd worn them so long that it was nearly impossible to remove them. Susan may have wanted some time away from other folks to collect her thoughts. My fear was that she broke down somewhere and is now waiting to have her vehicle repaired. Some people don't carry cell phones. Still. I know a few older folks that do not have one. I don't believe any of the articles said Susan had a cellphone? I might've missed that though.

Missing woman last seen on Sept. 12 found deceased

The 58-year-old woman was last seen living her Kanata residence.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) revealed a 58-year-old woman last seen in Kanata on Sept. 12 has been found deceased.

Susan Schwartz was last seen leaving her residence.

The OPS said in a release that no suspicious activity is suspected.
