''Hamilton police are again asking the public for help identifying a suspect wanted in an unproved attack that saw a woman dragged off a trail and assaulted in July — their third such plea in a month.

Police previously said the woman was walking in the area of Upper Paradise Road and Donnici Drive around 9:30 a.m. on July 13, when a male stranger approached her, dragged her off the trail and assaulted her. The assault was interrupted by witnesses walking in the area.''

“This was a violent daytime assault and we need the public’s help in identifying the suspect before he acts again,” Det. Sgt. Jennifer Currie said in a release.''

''Police said new information provided to investigators suggests the man may have recently graduated from a high school in the west Mountain area. Staff and students at local high schools are being encouraged to review photos of him.

The suspect is described as a Black man, 18 to 24 years old, approximately five-foot-eight to five-foot-10 and about 175 pounds, with an athletic build and short, black, curly hair with shaved sides.

At the time of the assault, he wore a navy blue V-neck T-shirt, black or dark-coloured jogging pants, white socks, grey running shoes with a white emblem, a black, cross-body bag, a black sweater or jacket that was tied around his waist or carried and a black mask.''
