''York Regional Police is looking for witnesses after a car was set on fire at a home in Richmond Hill.
On June 10 at about 1:15 a.m., police were called to a home on Estoril Street, near Berwick Crescent and 16th Avenue, for a report of a fire.
Three women were asleep in the house when one of them heard noises coming from outside. When she opened the garage door, she saw her silver Subaru Crosstrek fully engulfed in flames in the driveway, according to police.
No one was physically injured in the fire, which was extinguished by Richmond Hill Fire and Emergency Services, YRP said.
Surveillance video obtained by police shows a person pour liquid over the car before setting it on fire and running northbound on Estoril Street, police said.

The suspect is described by police as a man with a medium build wearing a hooded jacket or vest with different coloured long sleeves, dark pants and white running shoes.''

According to the Subaru specs, the Crosstrek is 5 feet 3 inches measured from the ground. The person seen in the CCTV footage has to raise the arms straight above the head to pour the liquid on the roof, and we can see the head barely reaches the roof bars.
Short skinny person, easy to identify. Hopefully the accelerant was bought somewhere on that same day.

The act seems personal... revenge motivated.
