RNC Search for Missing Person – Trevor HAMLYN (1985-05-24)

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is seeking the assistance of the general public locating missing person Trevor HAMLYN.

33 year old Trevor HAMLYN was reported missing to the RNC on June 19, 2018, after being last heard from on Saturday afternoon (June 16, 2018). HAMLYN is described as being 5’10”, 230lbs, bald head, with a goatee. The RNC has concerns for HAMLYN’s well-being.

Anyone who has information pertaining to the whereabouts of Trevor HAMLYN is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.

VOCM - Police Confirm Phone Found in Search Belongs to Missing Man

The RNC have confirmed that a cell phone found during an independent ground search held by friends and family on June 25, belongs to Trevor Hamlyn.

After one month, the RNC is continuing the search for Hamlyn. They provided an update on their search efforts for Hamlyn this afternoon at RNC Headquarters in St. John’s.

3 years after Trevor Hamlyn disappeared, his mother lives 'a daily nightmare'

The third anniversary of the last time she saw her son has come and gone, but Michelle Hamlyn says she holds out hope he will be one day be found.

"It's a daily nightmare. You don't get through a day without thinking about it. There's just an empty space in your heart," she said.

Cadigan said police have put out that Trevor had a bottle of Jameson whiskey and a Big 8 ginger ale, and they're looking for those items.

"We want people to keep an eye on those two pieces, together, in a particular area, whether it's on a trail or otherwise," he said.

Human remains found in Paradise identified as missing man Trevor Hamlyn

Police have identified the human remains found in Paradise this week as those of Trevor Hamlyn, who went missing four years ago.

Hamlyn disappeared from his home on Imogene Crescent in Paradise in 2018.

Today, his family released a statement on Facebook, saying “after four long years, we can finally say Trevor has been found and we are able to get the closure we desperately need.”

Hamlyn’s remains were found Monday morning by a man walking his dog in the area of Three Island Pond. The cause of death has not been determined.
