On August 4, 1974, the skeletal remains of a teenage boy were discovered under a log near Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia. He was believed to have died at least a year before his discovery.

Curious!

I want to know more info about being under a log. Are we talking a big log such as one that could pin someone down due to its size/weight? Or is this something medium or smaller?

I’d imagine the log would have had to be sizeable and/or the area rather secluded for him not to have been discovered for about a year.

Also, I wonder if we could learn about the positioning of the body. Did it appear as if he struggled to get out from under the log, or that it was placed atop him after death? Have LE ruled this accidental or was it a possible homicide?
