Convicted Serial Killer Robert Browne claimed to have killed someone at a scenic rest stop off of I-90 between the February and March of 1986. He claims he shot the victim and tossed them over the guardrail. He initially claimed the victim was female but then later stated he mistaken and the victim was male. I still think Elaine could be this victim

Perhaps there is a contact person you could send this to? I think that Canada's Missing is not always up to date.

I'll probably submit to the B.C coroner in a bit - their email is [email protected] or [email protected].

Strangely even though Elaine disappeared from the Downtown Eastside it looks like North Vancouver PD was initially responsible for investigating her disappearance. Usually cases in the DTES would be handled by VPD.

It looks like she did work as a sex worker, which makes me worried that she was indeed a Pickton victim.

"She was last seen alive on a Vancouver street last March 13."

"She used to call home on special occasions. At the time she went missing, she was to have appeared at the trial of a man in Vancouver."

11 January 1987, The Providence, pg 22

"She was a witness in an attempted-murder trial"

18 June 2000, The Independant (London, England), pg 104

I don't love this article because it gets her age and date of disappearance wrong. Also written by a publisher very far removed geographically.

That top article was in the Province (not Providence, not that it matters), a Vancouver newspaper. I know, because I lived in Van growing up. I recognize the reporter's name, but seems strange he referred to her in the slang 'hooker' but in 1985 that was commonly used I recall. At any rate, Dina's murder may've been related to being a witness for that trial? Or yes, a Pickton victim. The word Pickton always makes me cringe, especially being a local there at the time. Horrible.

She fits the timeframe for the unidentified Pickton victim. It seems the B.C coroner is quite good at testing everything they can within the province, but I'm not sure if Elaine had been compared since her case doesn't seem like it's being handled by the RCMP. She's not up on Canada's missing.

Yes, there is a great likeness! Let us know if you get a reply from the coroner. I think I had emailed that coroner a few years back re. another case on WS and they were helpful.

The B.C coroner is very nice! I've communicated with their team a number of times.

They responded to me yesterday stating that Elaine has been excluded via DNA.
