Man wanted after woman dragged into wooded area, sexually assaulted in High Park: police

A suspect is wanted after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in High Park late Wednesday night.

''The woman was able to get away and get help from a passerby in the area, who called police.

The man then fled the area. The victim suffered non-life-threatening physical injuries in the assault.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a dark complexion, five feet 10 inches, 30 to 40 years old, slim with an athletic build.

He was last seen wearing a t-shirt and dark-coloured pants.

Const. Viktor Sarudi said there will be an increased police presence in the park as they investigate and are asking anyone who may have been in the area Wednesday night to contact police.

Police were called to the east side of the park near Howard Park Avenue and Parkside Drive at around 10:40 p.m.''

''Investigation ‘very active, very ongoing,’ say police​

Speaking with CP24’s Beatrice Vaisman on Thursday afternoon, Const Stephanie Miceli said at this time the investigation is still “very active, very ongoing.”

“Officers are still on scene, conducting investigation, and we’re looking for anybody that has any information about this suspect’s identity, any surveillance video, any cell phone video, anything that may help investigators identify this suspect in this investigation, we would like to hear from them,” she said.

“So we would ask that anybody reach out to investigators that has any information. Doesn’t matter how small you think it is. It could be a critical piece of information that could help us identify the suspect in this case.”

2. Sexual Assault Cause Bodily Harm
3. Uttering Threats
4. Forcible Confinement
5. Robbery
6. Fail to Comply with Probation
7. Unlawfully Possess Schedule I Substance

He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday July 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Ave West, in room 301.
An image of the accused has been released. Police believe there may be more victims.
