Woman dies after fire in Scarborough parking lot

A woman has died in hospital after a fire behind a Scarborough restaurant early Sunday morning.

No other people were injured, and police say the restaurant had no involvement in the fire as it was closed as the time.

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office has been notified and is investigating the woman’s death with the assistance of Toronto police.

Woman succumbs to injuries after Scarborough fire

A woman in her 30’s was rushed to hospital with severe burns and life-threatening injuries, where she later died.

It’s not yet clear how the fire was started.
