''That woman, now wanted for the vehicle theft and dangerous operation causing bodily harm, is captured on the video telling the man she's at his home to see the Porsche Cayenne. Police said she was responding to an Auto Trader ad, and the incident took place at around 2 p.m. on Sept. 6 in the Winston Churchill and Eglinton Avenue area.
She tells the man she's waiting for her dad, but asks to see the vehicle first. The doorbell camera captures a clear image of the suspect, who Peel Regional Police are still trying to identify.
Here's the image of the suspect released by police:''

“We published that video on Wednesday afternoon and within 24 hours it had been shared 95,000 times. So very, very quickly that video reached millions of viewers and folks then reshared it on social media allowing that message to be spread. We then received numerous tips from the public, which allowed us to identify her (the suspect) very rapidly and effectively pressure her to surrender to police,” Peel police Const. Tyler Bell told CP24 on Friday afternoon. “First and foremost this speaks to the importance and significance of having home surveillance footage, especially quality footage like this but it also speaks to the power of social media.”
'Sarah Badshaw, 18, of Brampton is charged with four offences related to the theft of the Porsche, including theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
“There is a saying in policing that I am sure we have all heard before - you cant outrun the chopper. But in Sarah’s case here you can’t outrun the share button''

''She remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
The charges in this case have not been tested in court, but cops said she was known to police prior to the Mississauga carjacking.
Social media posts show Bradshaw was raised in a “big family with eight siblings” and she has advertised online to babysit for $18 an hour.''

Sarah has been charged with prior fraud-related offences in Peel and is wanted by other GTA police services for separate investigations,” Bell-Morena said in the police statement.''

“This investigation remains active, and investigators anticipate additional arrests and charges,” police said. “Anyone with information about this incident or any incidents’ involving Sarah is asked to call investigators at the 11 Division Auto Theft Unit at 905-453–2121, ext. 1152.''

Not a lawyer here, and not familiar with Canadian relevant laws……. but how about attempted murder …. by vehicle….. or something similar. Sure hope these charges are upgraded IMO. And glad that it seems she would not be a juvenile or tried as a juvenile. IANAL. It seems apparent she was not there to view or buy the vehicle. SMH. MOO

she should consider herself lucky that she didn't kill him and cause damage to all those cars she narrowly missed crashing into

She was known to authorities, specifically for other GTA offenses. I wonder if she has any actual convictions. Because here she is out running free. I sure hope she is not released on her own recognizance.

I wonder if the babysitting offer was to set up more thefts and or frauds?

''Toronto police say that the suspect was charged on Monday while still in the custody of Peel Regional Police.
''She is accused of being involved in two incidents that took place in Toronto’s west end over the span of five days earlier this month.''
In the first incident on Sept. 11, a male and female attended a residence near Kipling Avenue and Rathburn Road for a pre-arranged meeting to purchase the victim’s vehicle.

Police say that the victim allowed the pair to enter the vehicle to view its interior and test out the engine, at which point they immediately drove away from the area''.

'Just call them the alleged Honey Pot Five.'
'Investigators claim the infamous Porsche girl – accused of being involved in a sneaky auto theft ring – wasn’t working alone.'

'Joining Badshaw before the court system are two adults and two youths who can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act'.
None of the charges against any of the five have been tested in court and all are considered innocent until proven guilty. But they are all now going to court.'

''This was some serious sleuthing by 11 and 22 Division auto theft detectives, who also recovered two high-end SUVs''
