A Carnival cruise passenger was reported missing after she left the ship during a stop in the Caribbean with her luggage in tow and told the perplexed crew that she “did not want to be found.”

Jessica Collins, a 47-year-old American who booked a trip aboard the Carnival Horizon, failed to return to the ship at the end of its stop in Bonaire on Sept. 17.

Bonaire government officials launched an investigation in tandem with the cruise line.

Surveillance footage released by authorities showed Collins exiting the ship with a grey backpack and dressed in a Hawaiian T-shirt and cargo shorts.

Re her clothing description they gave above: I see her grey backpack, but I wouldn't call that a T shirt nor would I call those cargo shorts. And I hope she has a sturdier pair of shoes in the backpack.

Bonaire is NOT a big place. In six days I'm quite shocked she hasn't been located. There is an airport but surely they would know if she'd flown out?

It's not a "tropical paradise" kind of island, it's definitely a desert kind of island. Very rugged and desolate in places.

Wherever she is, whatever her reasons, I hope she's safe and content with her decision.

Not sure if Jessica claims to be a victim in the Epstein case.

My personal feeling hasn't changed on such postings, just because someone has a 'theory" on Facebook does not make it true, even though people will pick that up and start posting it everywhere. I tend to mistrust such info unless it's backed up by fact or eye witnesses, like any case.

There is a Jessica Leigh Collins is on Facebook claiming to be an Epstein Victim
. It's hard to tell from the photo if the older woman is the missing woman, the younger woman with brightly colored hair is actually NOT Jessica but her daughter, Aisha Zughbieh-Collins.

Althought Jessica is claiming in court documents (provided further down) that her daughter was also trafficked in the Epstein case, there's LE evidence that she died of a drug overdose in 2017 at age 18, 12 years after reports against Epstein were made which opened the victim investigation. The teen was already an addict, using a very dangerous synthetic opinion she bought online. An 18-Year-Old Girl Died From a Synthetic Opioid She Bought Online. Here’s How Portland Police Cracked the Case.

As to the status of Jessich Leigh Collins/Epstein case:

There's been a new document filed by JSC in January 2025 demanding a jury trial. https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/69588167/collins-v-united-states/ (document attached)

In February her complaint was thrown out as frivolous stating "Plaintiff alleges violations of her constitutional and statutory rights, but her allegations are vague and cryptic. She alleges, for example, “deliberate torment,” “Treason of Presidents,” and that the “U.S. Government, through manipulation and direct action, has worked with private corporations . . . to unlawfully suppress [Plaintiff’s] First Amendment rights.” Id. at 31, 34 (Compl. ¶¶ 58–59, 67). Plaintiff provides no intelligible information about when or where these events occurred." https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/USCOURTS-dcd-1_25-cv-00228/pdf/USCOURTS-dcd-1_25-cv-00228-0.pdf

Jessica Leigh Collins also wrote and self-published a book in 2023 in which she now claims her daughter was murdered. Amazon is NOT carrying it, but here's the link to the Apple book..
Whether she is a vicim or not we don't have enough information to know (
though there is no record of her in court records of known victims, others having wished to remain completely anonymous). Any thoughts on that would simply by our opinion and any sleuthing of others involved is not appropriate here. But if it IS the missing cruise ship passenger, and she got tired of seeing her case go nowhere, perhaps she just wanted to get away and "be left alone" in the words of the woman leaving the ship voluntarily with her luggage. If so, I for one would respect that.
