Found Deceased Catherine Dilly, 84, reported missing from home in Dronfield, Derbys since 17 Oct 2022

Officers are appealing for people in Dronfield to check dashcam and CCTV footage as the search for a missing 84-year-old woman continues.

Catherine Dilly was reported missing from her home in Stonelow Road, Dronfield, yesterday evening (17 October).

Officers are now asking for anyone who lives in, or was driving through the town, to check footage between 9am and 7pm yesterday (17 October) for any sightings of Catherine.

The 84-year-old, who is 5ft 6ins tall and slim, usually wears black trousers, flat black shoes and either a grey or blue coat. It is believed Catherine, who wears her hair in a ponytail, is also carrying a large black handbag.

Catherine is known to visit Chesterfield, usually using the 43 or 44 bus service, and has links to the Sheffield area.

Anyone with any information about her current whereabouts is asked to contact Derbyshire police using the 999 emergency number quoting reference 947-171022.

"Officers searching for a missing Dronfield woman have found a body believed to be that of the 84-year-old.
Catherine Dilly was reported missing from her home in Stonelow Road on Monday 17 October.

Sadly, this afternoon (21 October) officers discovered a body believed to be that of Catherine in Dronfield.
Her family have been made aware and our thoughts are with them at this time.
We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeals and supported the search for Catherine."
