Circumstances of DisappearanceMy mother went missing on April 30, 1992, age 42. She is/was a single mother of two children. She was a resident anesthesiologist at Montefiore Medical Center at the time of her disappearance. Her thyroid was removed in her late 20's and she took synthroid. It is believed she missed a few doses as her behavior became uncharacteristically desperate and paranoid. We believe she must not know who she is and would give anything to find out one way or the other.

Details of Disappearance
Flores was last seen in New York City on April 30, 1992. At the time of her disappearance, she was a resident anesthesiologist at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case. Suffern, New York police are investigating.

On September 19, 1995, this "unknown black female [was] found in basement of abandoned building at above location. The building was known to the area to be a 'drug den'."

Pros:
• She was found just 4 miles away from the Montefiore Medical Center where Cathryn worked.
• Weight is a match.

Cons:
• She was discovered three years after Cathryn disappeared, and was estimated to have died that same year, but estimates have been known to be wrong.
• She was measured as being 3 inches taller than Cathryn, but could this be wrong too?

2. Unidentified Person / NamUs #UP8004 (WARNING: Post-Mortem photo in link)

Unknown black female found unresponsive in Morningside Park near West 113th Street on September 15, 1993.

Pros:
• Closer in time to 1992, when Cathryn disappeared.
• Height was 5'5" just one inch taller than Cathryn.
• Found in Manhattan. Cathryn was said to have worked in the Bronx, but was last seen in New York, NY, which usually means Manhattan.
• Age range, 30-45 years.
• "Linear track marks on forearms, hands and legs". Cathryn is described as having a "linear scar across her neck."
• Weight is 125 lbs, just 5 lbs outside of Cathryn's range.

I can't tell if there's a physical resemblance in the face, though.
