If someone down on their luck tried to purchase diapers for their child and got away with it, I'd probably turn the other way. Condoms and a 6 pack - not so much. Even Cash benefits for families do not provide for such purchases.

Actually, here, they wouldn't cover the sixpack, but if you get cash assistance, you could get the condoms off the Bridge Card, it's considered general merchandise and can be bought off the card.

That said, there are a lot of stores around here that do the same thing. At least MI (or my part) is cracking down on the stores that do this. They used to only go after the people that were using the cards the wrong way, but they are now going after the stores that let them do it, too.
