Police searching for a missing woman have issued a renewed appeal, more than three months since she was last seen.

Charlene Hobbs, 35, from the Riverside area of Cardiff, was last seen on 19 July at Cardiff Bay Retail Park at around 10.30am.


South Wales Police say Ms Hobbs also has connections to the Bristol area.

Detectives are looking for any information on her whereabouts since she was last seen.

#HelpUsFind l Detectives have made a further breakthrough in the investigation into the disappearance of missing #Cardiff woman Charlene Hobbs.

A mobile phone photo has confirmed Charlene was at a property in Broadway #Adamsdown, on July 24, 2024.

Charlene’s hair bun and distinctive dragon tattoo can be seen, and she is wearing the same strapless top as the previous day when she was seen here on CCTV at Morrisons in Moira Place, Adamsdown.

️ Detective Chief Inspector Matt Powell, from South Wales Police, said: “Charlene is a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend to many. Like us, they are all very concerned for her welfare and are desperate for answers.
“There are several possible explanations for Charlene’s disappearance, and we are keeping an open mind as we do all we can to establish what has happened to her.”


Officers are also investigating a link to #Abergavenny and a distinctive red #Nissan Micra.

Charlene's worried family has also released a photo of Charlene in her younger days as a teenager in a continued appeal to the community for answers.

#APPEAL | The large-scale police search to find missing women Charlene Hobbs is continuing.

Charlene, 38, hasn’t been seen for over 6 months - the last confirmed sighting of her is a mobile phone photograph taken at a property in Broadway, Adamsdown, at 06:07am on July 24, 2024.

Officers investigating her disappearance have released previously unseen footage / image of Charlene – CCTV footage of her in Morrisons Local, Adamsdown, on July 23, 2024, the day before she was last seen.

They hope this will prompt new information from the public, who have contributed positively to lines of enquiry so far.

Charlene's family has issued the following statement: "We have been updated by DCI Powell that this is now a murder investigation, and that a Crimestoppers appeal has been made with a £20k reward

Charlene’s disappearance is now being treated as murder and the Crimestoppers charity is offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.''
