The last confirmed contact with Cunha occurred in late August 2001. She was reported missing by family in February 2002. Information was developed that Cunha had intentions of traveling to North Carolina for several days.

Cunha, 30, was last seen in Easton . A note in her listing states that Cunha told a family member she was going to North Carolina and would be back in a few days, but never made contact again.

I knew Cheryl Smith. She lived with me for a short time in the late 80's. I know she had a boyfriend named Roy that lived in NC. He was in the Military. She lived in Belvidere NJ for a year or so and drove a light blue chevet. She worked at a place called Fernwood that was in Belvidere. Im sad to see that she is now one of the missing. She is a great person. Its sad to see that drugs took her life over.
