Gross!! As a family with food allergies, we will keep right on baking our own from scratch. Just this week I made a double batch of cookie dough. Put little spoonfuls of dough between waxed paper and froze a container for each house. Pop out what you want to bake just like the prepacked containers from the store. Keepin’ it safe & tasty here!

It has to be something that will harm their product sales for a long time given their non-disclosure of the "ingredient." I find it ridiculous that they don't have to be transparent about the mistake made.

That "unexpected ingredient" can be no worse than what comes to mind!

“Unexpected Solidified Ingredient” makes me think something that is normally a fluid and added in small amounts was added as a powder or not completely diluted to the appropriate concentration. Or in the case of fats they didn’t get the fatty profile they were expecting.

List of ingredients
{{MetaTags.title || 'Nutritionix'}}

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached Enriched Flour (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Folic Acid), Semisweet Chocolate Chips (Sugar, Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Dextrose, Soy Lecithin, Milk), Palm Oil, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Dextrose, Cornstarch, Salt, Baking Soda, Molasses, Caramel Color, Natural and Artificial Flavor.

Which one would have been added in a dose high enough to cause possible adverse health effects?

Can one overdose on Riboflavin? Probably in the Natural and artificial flavor.

I cook/bake the majority of our food. This just reaffirms my decision.

This article makes it sound like they didn’t get a good mix and have pockets of maybe salt or baking soda.

I totally agree with everyone’s posts! Gross! What in the world could it be?! And so thankful I’m not a cookie person! Just...yuck!
