Chicago window washer stuck 26 floors up


CHICAGO (STMW) -- Fire Department crews are at a Streeterville area high-rise Tuesday afternoon to rescue a window washer stuck on a scaffold 26 floors above the ground.

The incident happened at a hotel at 300 E. Ohio St. Doubletree Hotel Chicago is listed at that address.

Chicago firefighters rescued a window washer from outside the 26th floor of a Gold Coast high-rise this afternoon.

The worker was dangling from a rope and was brought to the roof of the building at 300 E. Ohio St. by firefighters at about 4 p.m., said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Quention Curtis.
