A few months after Brandi's disappearance, friends and associates contacted her family and told them that Brandi had died of an overdose or was killed and her body dumped. This has never been confirmed. Several interviews have revealed rumors that Brandi was dumped in the Platte River, an unknown lake or dumped in the mountains. Brandi has several tattoos: a butterfly on her back, a cross on her left calf and Chinese characters on her left ankle, left breast and hip. Hello, Newbie here,

Death Perspective: Looking at her case file, Brandi is wearing a jumpsuit so her photo was taken in a confinement in colorado "Colorado Cold Case Files - Case Detail: Brandi Malonson". So she has files in the state records that might be helpful. In the thread "CO - CO - Brandi Malonson, 23, Littleton, 26 Dec 2006" it states she was once on probation for drug use. What I am thinking a drug deal went wrong. Was there anyone else that was associated with her and her drug use. Such as her dealer(s) that MIGHT tie in with her. If her dealer(s) have a wrap sheet, that could be a possible lead. I found she was introduced to crystal meth shortly into Community college (Park CC) in colorado. One of her female friends gave her meth shortly she became addicted to it. That female friend COULD lead to more intel. Running through multiple obituaries for the "Why not" factor, there are no entries for a "Brandi Jo Malonson".

Alive Perspectives: Further reading into her case, she was also convicted of identity theft. There is a good possibility of her no longer being "Brandi Malonson". Digging deeper into her background, I found some hits on a background check for a "Brandi Jo Malonson". Hits such as a current address that dates back to 2017 in Littleton, CO. Two phone numbers are currently being checked if they are active.
(If need be, I can post this information.)

I have a gut feeling she MIGHT still be alive and the information of her death might be a rumor. Someone could have claimed she died to give her an alibi to stay in hiding in fear of situations she may be running from

Reading through the "Charleyproject" at the end of the article it states "Authorities are looking for Lisa Gibson, whom they believe may have information in Malonson's disappearance. She was born in 1964, making her approximately 42 years old when Malonson went missing. She frequented bars on South Broadway. Photographs and additional information for Gibson are unavailable." I looked into this and found information that may or may not be right. I found results on a Lisa Gibson that has a LENGTHY wrap sheet. Some charges do include Possession, Kidnapping, and Assault. Though the odd thing I ran into was I got two hits on what seems to be the same person. One "Lisa KAE Gibson" and "Lisa MARIE Gibson" both of these results have the same exact information listed on them. A news report video of a double homicide-suicide, I looked into where the video took place and it was in Winnipeg, Canada. Could this be the Lisa Gibson the police are still looking for??

I'm glad someone is looking into Malonson's disappearance :)

I noticed the Winnipeg search for LG was back in 2013... so, I think it's likely there would be some follow-up reports since that time.

Maybe you could double check birthdates for the LG's in question... compare with the criminal records for LG in Colorado? 'Just so we aren't discussing the wrong LG - wouldn't want to mis-identify someone with criminal charges if they are innocent.

I haven't had an opportunity to check on the info myself but I am glad you've been trying to locate Malonson. Welcome to Websleuths :)

So The report has a matching Age for Lisa

Thank you for the greetings! I am currently doing more research in her case. The information I post really should be taken with a grain of salt. It's REALLY hard to ID someone that you know, never mind a missing person. I can post the results here; though I do not want to DOX a random person, you know? Two of my other buddies will be looking into her case more tomorrow, as will I. Her case is extremely interesting IF it all pans out to be correct SO FAR, it would look something like this.

Hypothesis: Two teens murdered by someone that may have connections with Brandi. Someone who the police are looking for in connection with the disappearance of Brandi might have killed her kids and then herself in another country.
This missing person case may have three cases built into one whole mess.

With being new here, I need confirmation in-order to post sensitive info that MAY OR MAY NOT be the individual in question.

IF I have the correct person, I did look around their last known address in the US. Reports say Brandi's body was POSSIBLY dumped in the mountains back in the early 2000s. Get this The "Lisa Gibson" lives very far up a mountain in CO. The street images were taken back in 2008. Just two years after Brandi went missing.
I took screenshots of possible clues that could lead to Brandi's whereabouts, clues such as random tracks in the snow going into the mountains, of what COULD be branches or skeleton remains, and something under a tree that rubs me the wrong way.

I know there are some loopholes. Though looking from the outside in, some pieces of the puzzle fit all too well.
I could be over-thinking things, though more thoughts the better.

Lisa Gibson drowned her children and took her own life: police. We can scratch that Lisa Gibson off the list. This report says she was 32 at the time of her death. The Lisa we are looking for would have been in her 40's in 2013.

I found this interesting article in regards to Brandi. Some information in it looks like it can be picked apart. It looks like Brandi might be/was suffering from PTSD with all the events that unfolded around her. In the article, the author states "On Dec. 26, Brandi Jo told her father that she was going out. "She was going to a friend's house, he said." Then shortly after Brandi's mother receives a call from a "Man" The author wrote, "Later a man called and said someone had killed her and put her in the Platte River." To me, this sounds like a cover-up. My question is, who is this "Man" and how did he know Brandi?

Putting some thought into the rumors of where Brandi's body might be and factoring in human nature. Here is what I came up with.

Mountains: I feel as if it unlikely someone would drag her body into the mountains. The amount of effort and labor to do so at such a high elevation is worth a second thought. If her body is in the mountains, the killer must have taken Brandi on a "Hiking trip" and murdered her then. Colorado has a well-maintained population of mountain lions and other predatory animals. So if she was dumped in the mountains, very few of her remains if any at all would be left to discover.

Platte River: The one I feel is the most possible location where her body MIGHT be located. Now the Platte River is ENORMOUS although it has a ton of shallow areas. The Platte River is a fantastic place to go fly fishing. Now if someone with half a brain cell wanted to dispose of a body, they would find the deepest parts. Most of the deepest parts of the river are under a bridge. Dumping a body of a bridge into a river takes minimal effort and can be done quickly and unnoticed. Given the time that has passed, the only thing left would be her skeleton.

I believe it is 1 person we all should be looking for.
2 kids killed at Subway.
1 woman finding kids there dead a few years later.
Simple facts point to this.
Notoriously known drug spot, she finds the kids snitches on her drug dealer he gets revenge kills her.
Killer/drug dealer.. kills kids probably knowing media coverage and police are boggled down with this less hype to this story. And the infamous saying between druggies is snitches end up in ditches.

Just my thoughts

Without looking at this Platte River, I would guess this is not where Brandi is, by now part of her would have been found unless this river does not have much flow and circulation. It seems too much energy and effort if you look at the whole picture. Drug killings are lazy. It seems they are treating people within their circle as they are disposable and want to get back to what makes them money....drugs. It seems most junkies and drug related stories ESP. in the Colorado area are shot then buried in a shallow grave or just shot and left where they lay.
I feel finding Brandi's killer will also find these kids killer.

You could be correct, and I don't think you are alone in your theory. However, it's the six year time span that puzzles me. The Subway murders occurred in 2000 but Brandi didn't disappear until 2006. Do you think something happened six years later that caused the dealer/killer to be worried Brandi was finally going to snitch on him??

10/1/2021.

LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) — The family of a missing woman who survived the Columbine massacre is pleading for help finding their daughter.

Oct. 1 is Brandi Jo Malonson’s 38th birthday, but her family isn’t able to celebrate with her. She has been missing for nearly 15 years.

More at Family still searching for missing daughter who survived Columbine massacre | FOX31 Denver

I do hope this family finds some real, concrete answers.

“I want closure. The best thing is, I’d love for her to come home and give us a big hug … but I don’t know. I just want somebody to come forward and say, ‘I know this happened’ and we need proof,” said Linda.
