I've been waiting all day for a press release, but so far, this is the only media info released:

From Fort Collins Police Services Facebook:

"Police are asking for the community’s help locating a missing Fort Collins woman.
A relative of Christine Cummings, 32, contacted Fort Collins Police on January 1, 2021 as they had not heard from her in several days. Cummings was last known to be at her Fort Collins residence on December 29, 2020. Officers tried to contact her at home, but neither she nor her vehicle were there. Family members believe she may have gone hiking and are concerned for her safety.
Police entered her as a missing person and also notified staff at Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National Parks as she frequents those locations. Cummings drives a 2015 Black Jeep SUV, license plate EOL263. She is a white female with brown hair, blue eyes, approximately 5'7 tall, and 140 pounds. Photos are attached.
Detectives do not have any indication of foul play. Anyone with information about Cummings’ current location or travel plans is asked to contact Fort Collins Detective Marty Shaw at 970-416-2051."

I had been sitting on my hands on this for a couple of days. Originally, there were no LE or msm postings on this, just her friends who are quite worried.
TOS prevents us from discussing anything further right now, but there is some worrisome information on sm.

What makes the friends think she went hiking? Do we know what the court hearing is for?

I saw this a few days ago, of course it’s in Colorado :( Glad that the press seems to be paying attention.

Fortunately the weather has been relatively mild (for a Colorado winter), so if she is lost hiking, and is experienced, she could hang in there for awhile on her own probably. Fingers crossed she's found soon.

I wonder how her partner is handling the pending divorce..

Yellowstone would be a trip for her since only the north entrance is open to vehicles now (and that would assume snowshoeing would be acceptable vs hiking). You can take a snowcoach or a snowmobile tour from West Yellowstone, but a lot of hikers find the noise off-putting.

Jackson would be closer and give her access to Grand Teton NP snow trails.

Either way, she’d need accommodations, so closer to home seems a better bet.

If she went hiking her Jeep would be parked at a trailhead, and presumably found by now?

I think if she entered Rocky Mtn Natl Park, they could look at entrance camera footage and there are rangers patrolling those parking lots/trailheads.

Otherwise, there are a LOT of trailheads in Colorado where that Jeep could be parked and thus far not discovered. Hopefully as word gets out, more folks will know to keep an eye out for her car.
