In the area where I live packages were being stolen regularly from porches back in November-December. Porch pirates were following Amazon delivery trucks and picking up packages as soon as they were dropped off. This is almost as funny as someone who stole a box on our porch, it was supposed to be picked up by USPS. The thief ended up with my husband's colon cancer screening test kit.
Crime really doesn't pay.
Wait a minute. Off a freight truck? This calls for more information on my part. Were they heads with brains intact? Eyes? Preparing to go this route once I leave this shell.
My sibling the mail carrier had two funeral homes on one of his routes. Some of the implements they ordered would freak him out. Beats delivering the live pigeons though.
You guys always find the most interesting news. Oh, and no I haven't been in Denver.
There was a segment on the news here, the shipment was 'headed' to a program that trains nurses & paramedics.
(Just can't help myself sometimes.)
I figured it was intended for research purposes. There was a segment on the news here, the shipment was 'headed' to a program that trains nurses & paramedics.

I worked with a man who passed away suddenly. His body was donated to science. I learned then that when this happens, the body is pieced off to different medical organizations. A knee here, an elbow there. His family said that eventually they received some cremated remains, but I doubt they were even his.I figured it was intended for research purposes.
I used to work with a medical group where we had doctors in a Fellowship program for orthopedic specialties. We received shipments of frozen shoulders, arms, hands, etc.
When people donate their bodies (or the body of their loved one) to “science” or “research “ this is where the body parts often end up. I hope this is explained to people when they consent to donate. I think there might be a misconception that some people think donating their body to science means that it will be used for groundbreaking research of some sort. In some cases, maybe. But often individual body parts will be shipped to different places for medical practice.I worked with a man who passed away suddenly. His body was donated to science.
