He was last seen on 5/23/24 at 6:27am and has not been seen or heard from since.

He was going fishing/boating and typically returns the same day.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office is searching for a retired firefighter last seen with his boat.

According to the sheriff's office, Fred Arnold was last seen around 6:30 a.m. on May 23. He was reportedly going fishing at the Skagway Reservoir, east of Victor, and typically returns home the same day.

Mr. Arnold has been found deceased. So very sad. My heart goes out to his family.

On June 4, Arnold was positively identified at around 7:30 p.m. by Teller County Sheriff’s Office (TSCO) who posted about the discovery of the body earlier that same day. According to a post, Arnold was a firefighter for many years and was a veteran.

Terribly sad.
The body that was found on Tuesday, June 4 at the Skaguay Reservoir has been identified as the 76-year-old man who went missing in Fremont County.

The cause and manner is still under investigation. TCSO will release more information as it becomes available.
