20-year-old daughter missing after dealing with flat tire at Loveland/Johnstown Park-N-Ride
Kaylee Russell was last seen on Sunday. Police believe she is driving a black 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan with a temporary Colorado license plate.
If she was planning on driving to Pierce (then on to LaSalle) that's over 40 miles just to Pierce. A donut is intended to drive for short distances, presumably where you can get a repair made, and is safe only at low speeds. If you go much over 50 it may cause the tire to overheat and fail, leading to a blowout and loss of vehicle control. At her young age, she may not have known that.
I'm afraid if she tried to drive the posted speed limit or higher with the donut, she may have had an accident and ended up off the roadway.
Obviously it's weather dependent, but if the skies are clear (VFR) the Civil Air Patrol has aircraft and sUAS oeprations for various missions, including search and rescue. sUAS provide additional capabilities for aerial reconnaissance and imagery collection. Most LE operations in areas of the country with wilderness area are familiar with them, so hopefully a contact has been made. Emergency Services & OperationsThis seems like a good case to have an aerial search with either a helicopter or drones to search for the vehicle. I hope the police are taking it seriously enough to do that.

I believe 402 might be the east-west section of road just south of Loveland labeled "18". There is a "county Road 13C that crosses it but I've also seen a map that lists Weld County Road 13 as "Colorado Blvd".From the article:

The Search for Kaylee Russell Continues in Northern Colorado
Kaylee Russell was last seen at the Loveland/Johnstown Park-n-Ride on November 30, 2025.k99.com
It does get a little more rural depending on what route you take to Pierce (her first destination). Attached is a google map view of the various routes. The link: Loveland to PierceNone of these areas are remote and are in fact well populated. These roads all well traveled. If she had simply gone off the road again, her car should have been found.
No where in there are you more than a quarter mile from a house and the roads have significant traffic at all times. If she just ran off the road she would have been found immediately. It does get a little more rural depending on what route you take to Pierce (her first destination). Thanks, could be. But I'm 67 and never referred to clogs, ugg type, or crocks as "slippers" so I was thinking "indoor outdoor" type slipper. I have run to the store in mine before, they're studier than some of the shoes I own, just not winter warm or at all waterproof.Very minor detail, but (JMO) at her age, "slippers" could refer to short or clog style Ugg-type shoes, if described by an older person. Still not ideal, but warmer and sturdier than what many people visualize as "slippers," and often worn with socks as well.
Can confirm. Jumping in late here but I’ve been following. Fiancé and I are local to the area (we live between two states at the moment for school but we are from Loveland). As others have said, Weld County Rd 13 is just referred to as Colorado Blvd. These are roads we ourselves use frequently. Someone would see a car sitting off the road here. We haven’t seen anything ourselves however these last few days have been very cold and it has been snowing. Hoping for the best. Kaylee is just a bit younger than us.None of these areas are remote and are in fact well populated. These roads all well traveled. If she had simply gone off the road again, her car should have been found.
I saw this pop up as I posted. Hoping for a better outcome but I think my gut knows what to expect here.Vehicle found. :-(
