Kyle Baglo’s last known location was east of Steamboat Springs, around the intersection of Colorado Highway 131 and U.S. Highway 40.

Baglo was driving a navy blue 1997 Honda CRV, license plate UHQ-373. The front license plate is decorative, not an official plate, and mentions something about parrots.

Baglo was last seen wearing a red hoodie, black T-shirt, brown Carhartt pants, black socks and Nike skate shoes. He is 6 feet, 2 inches tall with short, blond hair and a scar on his right upper cheek. He also has a cracked lip from an older wound.

The vehicle he was driving has multiple stickers on the back windows, mostly white and yellow ones. Many stickers on one window have the Steamboat logo.

On Sunday night, Baglo was on his way to visit his girlfriend of 10 years, Page Reed, at the Golden Leaf marijuana dispensary where both are employed. He had been drinking earlier in the day and he never showed up at the dispensary. The last text she received from him came in at 7:07 p.m. Baglo texted that he was throwing up.

There has been no activity on Baglo’s phone since Sunday.. The Oak Creek Police Department has alerted law enforcement in the area as well as agencies along routes to Kansas, where he has family, and California, where Baglo had previously told a family member he might go.

We've had a couple rounds of decent snow in the area since he disappeared. Enough that it could conceal the car and make searching more difficult. This is a ski town with plenty of mountain roads and wilderness.

Very urgent case IMO. The most likely scenario is that he was in no condition to drive but did anyways, and got stuck or lost en route. He very well could be alive and in need of rescue right now.

I haven't seen any local coverage of this (other than the Steamboat Pilot article you posted.)

I also find it very implausible that he tried to drive to KS while drunk/sick at night with winter storms ongoing.

Even if he was foolish enough to drive drunk, he'd have to be a masochist to want to drive 8+ hours on I-70 through the mountains while being sick enough to puke. Anyone who has been through the CO mountains on I-70 in the snow understands how unpleasant that would be.

State Patrol and other LE are also all over the highways right now for stepped-up NYE DUI enforcement. If he was driving impaired at night on I-70 or US-40, there's a very good chance he would've been pulled over.

I wonder if they've checked CDOT traffic cameras yet to see if they captured him driving on I-70 or a different highway.

Family on the FB page says he needs his meds for a seizure disorder, and that Routt SO has not activated SAR. Yikes. I'm not sure why they haven't classified him as an endangered MP.

Northwest Colorado man missing since Sunday; last seen east of Steamboat

Authorities at the Yampa Valley Regional Airport searched the parking lots for Baglo’s vehicle, but it was not there.

Reed has been monitoring Baglo’s bank accounts to check for any signs of activity, Maher added.

“We are doing all the things that are logical steps when adults go missing,” he said.

Baglo’s brother JR said his family has been trying to determine if they can travel to Colorado to aid in the search. Winter storms are complicating those plans.

BREAKING: Man’s body found in overturned vehicle near Oak Creek

OakCreek-sbt-010320.-1536x924.jpg

First responders found a man’s body inside an overturned vehicle at the bottom of a steep embankment off Colorado Highway 131 about 15 miles south of Steamboat Springs on Thursday afternoon.

Authorities suspect the crash occurred on Sunday, according to Lt. Ryan Adrian with the Routt County Sheriff’s Office. It appears the man swerved off the side of the road and rolled down the embankment between mile markers 56 and 57. The vehicle was found on its roof and filled with snow, Adrian said.

It appears the man’s body had been there for several days. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

Adrian said it could take until next week to conduct an autopsy on the body due to the extreme cold to which it had been exposed.

“He was frozen solid,” Adrian said.

Such heartbreak for those that love him. Many thanks to the drone operators who helped search for him. Out in winter conditions that's a tough task.
