''The Denver Police Department and Colorado Bureau of Investigation are working to solve a cold case murder from Sept. 28, 1997.

Michael Conner was found dead in his apartment near 28th and California in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood 25 years ago.

“I just don’t see the point in stabbing the man 92 times from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet,” his niece Ambroshia Conner told FOX31 on the 20th anniversary of Conner’s murder.

Conner was 35 years old at the time of his murder. To this day, his case remains unsolved.''

the locations of the wounds makes me think this was cold and intentional. Not some kind of passion killing. A person in a fury isn't going to take the time to find the soles of the feet. They hit the head, neck, chest, etc.

May be a passion killing after all! speculation..

''His family says Michael Connor must have known the person who killed him. "Whoever did it, had to have a key or he had to let them in," said his sister Helen Conner. "There was no sign of forced entry." There were, however, signs of a struggle. Crime scene photos show overturned furniture and pictures torn from walls. There was no sign of robbery or burglary, so Conner's family believes it was a crime of passion. Police said Conner had been involved in a love triangle, and they suspected jealousy was the motive for the murder. A man was arrested, but the case was eventually dropped for lack of evidence. "It's been almost ten year and the suspect hasn't talked to any police officers since then," said Detective Joseph Delmonico. "We'd like to know if anything's been said, or if anyone has additional information to help bring the case to a close.''

"Conner's mother found his body in the apartment at625 28th Street. "My grandmother cried almost every day for years," said niece Ambroshia Conner.''
