Man missing in Delta County since before Thanksgiving, vehicle found abandoned

5 feet, 9 inches tall, 175 pounds with brown hair and blue/green eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan sweatshirt, gray sweatpants with blue/green tennis shoes.

Nick’s vehicle, a yellow Ford Escape was found along Crawford Road between Fobare Road and Little Road between Hotchkiss and Crawford.

Abandoned phone, car of missing Delta County man found as search continues for 28-year-old

Nicholas "Nick" Joshua Aldridge, 28, has been missing since Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving.
He was last seen around 3 p.m. by his ex-girlfriend and mother to their daughter, according to the sheriff's office.
His vehicle was found on Thanksgiving.
Inside the car was his phone.


Crews have used airplanes and drones in the search.

Aldridge's family is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to his location and return.

Concerns are growing for two people, missing in separate cases from Delta County.

His phone, keys, and hat were found in the vehicle. Not good.

Noting:

• History of drug use and possible mental health issues
• However, nothing to indicate he intended to harm himself
• Nothing at the scene of his vehicle suggested a struggle

Okay, so that article from Dec 3 says, "...on Crawford Road between Fobare Road and Little Road..." That is about a 1.3 mile stretch Crawford Rd from Fobare Rd to Little Rd.

But, this article dated Dec 4, updated Dec 5 says, "... at Crawford and Cotton Creek roads near Crawford." Man, woman missing from Delta County in separate disappearances | Complimentary | montrosepress.com

Where is Cotton Creek Road? Is that a typo? There is a Cottonwood Creek Road that intersects Crawford about a mile south of Little Rd. 3999-3901 Little Rd, Crawford, CO 81415 to 38900-39120 Cottonwood Creek Rd, Crawford, CO 81415 - Google Maps

So, I was wondering if the newer information is correct...

Then I found the Sheriff's FB posts.

If the pin on this map (see photo) is accurate, the vehicle was found between Fobare and Little Roads. This appears to be an unofficial flyer, perhaps made by family, and they found the vehicle so it may be the most accurate.

The official DCSO's poster (see photo) says, "... along Crawford Rd between Crawford & Hotchkiss." No Fobare Road. No Little Road. No Cotton anything.

Monday morning, the Delta County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a body was found in the area where 28-year-old Nick Aldridge was believed to have gone missing.

The Delta County Coroner will be responsible for releasing the official identity of the person who was found, as well as the cause of death.

Male body found in the Adobes area of Delta County Saturday

The Delta County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the discovery of a male body Saturday in the Adobes area.

Sheriff Mark Taylor said a person riding her horse in an area between Hotchkiss and Crawford located what she thought was a body and called authorities.

When deputies and investigators arrived, they found a deceased male, who was subsequently taken by the coroner.


Taylor said there was nothing obvious at the scene to indicate cause or manner of death.

An autopsy is pending and the person’s identity has not been released.

Aldridge was identified Monday as the person whose body was found Dec 5 in rural Delta Co.
Cause and manner of death are still pending the autopsy and toxicology reports but the preliminary findings look to be COD as exposure.
