Richard Sanchez, 60, was only a few blocks away from his house in Denver when he was killed on January 27 after he allegedly got into an argument with a teenager, according to Fox 31.

He was shot at about 6.40pm at the intersection of South Federal Boulevard and West Mississippi Avenue but his family only found out he died after they attempted to file a missing person report days later.

At this stage of the investigation, it appears there was a verbal exchange between the suspect and victim about the victim’s leg blocking the aisle on the bus, and the suspect then shot the victim,' a police spokesman said.

'It feels unreal,' Sanchez’s grandson Joseph Chavez said. 'He was always happy. He was a really happy dude.

'I was really heartbroken, honestly. I don’t understand how someone could do that to such an honest person.

The teenager involved "is currently being held for Investigation of First-Degree Murder, and the investigation is ongoing," police said in their statement. "The final determination of charges will be made by the Denver District Attorney's Office."

There is a lesson in this very sad case. The lesson is "it's just not worth it". Let them have their way, go on yours. You never know what instability lurks in people. Mr. Sanchez should be planning a Super Bowl party. Instead, his family is planning his funeral. It's.not.worth.it. Walk away.
