It probably was difficult for his family to pursue a missing persons case in the US. Thousands of miles away, probable language barrier…. Perhaps they didn’t know where to start. Did they know he was in the Denver area?

Is it known what he did for a living? Interesting, and like so many cases, tragic.

Circumstances of Discovery
The decedent's body was found near a dumpstser in the 2800 block of West Oxford Avenue. He had been shot several times and had been dead for 2-3 days. No identification was found. The person responsible for the death has yet to be identified.

Recent genetic testing has determined that the decent is of Middle Eastern descent with likely ties to Lebanon or Jersualem.

The decedent may have moved to or been frequenting the Denver area in the late 1980's.

Circumstances of Recovery - On August 27, 1988 officers from the Sheridan Police Department were notified of an unresponsive male found in the 2800 block of West Oxford Avenue, near a dumpster. Officers found a Caucasian male, Hispanic ethnicity suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The male had been deceased approximately two to three days. The male did not have any identification on his person. He was 5'7.5" and weighed between 185-190 pounds. He appeared to be 35-50 years in age. The person(s) responsible for the death of John Doe have yet to be identified. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the Sheridan Police Department.

The news release linked earlier indicates that they traced his family to Israel. They have citizens who are Christian Arabs.

I know that, having lived in Israel for 2 years
But ethnically its fairly impossible to tell Israeli Arab Christians and Lebanese Christians apart.

I can't describe what horrible comments I've read about Akram. Whether it be "this guy just sold me gas" or "boarder crosser", people don't seem to care that his family just found out what happened to him. At least people on here care. RIP Akram Bada'an.
